First Look: Koenigsegg Agera
Koenigsegg will present a new model at the 2010 Geneva Auto Salon next week in the shape of the Agera.
The Agera retains much of Koenigsegg’s traditional styling handed down from the original CC8S. You will see the traditional Koenigsegg doors on the new car as well as similar proportions to the successful CC8S model range.
As far as performance goes, Koenigsegg have kept the same 4.7 liter V8 developed in previous cars, this time there is 910hp at the 6850rpm-redline. Thanks to a dry weight of 1290kg (2832lbs), the Agera manages to reach 100km/h (62mph) in 3.1 seconds and 200km/h (124mph) in 8.9 seconds. Top speed is estimated at 390+ km/h (245+ mph).
The price is unknown, however, Koenigsegg plans to maintain a steady rate of 16-20 cars per year. Cars will be with owners by the end of the year following a six month development period.
