Tron: Legacy's Got a Friend in Pixar
Entertainment Weekly reports that powerhouse filmmakers from Disney and Pixar are teaming up to provide fans with the best Tron: Legacy experience possible.
Joe Kosinski, the film's director, is now receiving advice and script help from Pixar on his special-effects heavy action flick. In March, a rough cut of Tron: Legacy was screened to a team including Pixar creative exec John Lasseter, Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt, and The Incredibles director Brad Bird, among others.
After this intensive workshopping, Bird and Arndt signed on to rewrite script pages, bearing in mind specific planned reshoots. Pixar brought their expertise in character and emotional development to the Tron script, signifying an inter-studio partnership to look out for in the future.
