Following the debut of the 911 Black Edition, Porsche has announced its baby brother. Based on the Boxster S, the new Black Edition model upgrades with a host of otherwise optional equipment (including the Design, convenience and infotainment packages) fitted as standard.
What distinguishes the Boxster S Black Edition, however, is its paint scheme: black exterior, black leather interior, black convertible top and black wheels. It also gets a 10-horsepower bump in output from the 3.4-liter flat-six to 320, available either with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. 0-60 with the revised engine comes in 4.8 seconds (4.6 with the optional Sport Chrono package) en route to 170 miles per hour flat out.
$65,200 is the asking price, with deliveries beginning worldwide in the spring.
