Bloomberg is reporting that the iPad 3 will also be hitting shelves this year and will be packing a brand new display.
According to the site, Apple has begun testing their third generation iPad. It is not unexpected that manufacturers begin working with their new products well before launch, but the kicker here is that it is allegedly going to feature a high resolution screen, similar to the Retina Display seen on the iPhone 4.
In addition, Wall Street Journal received information that the iPad 3 will be available just before Christmas. Rather peculiar considering the iPad 2 came out this March, but releasing a new version of something as popular as the iPad would likely prove to be quite profitable for Apple.
