Superman/Batman: Apocalypse Announced

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse has been announced as the next title in the ongoing series of DC Universe direct-to-video original animated movies. The ninth movie in the series will be released Sept. 28 from Warner Premiere and will include in some editions a new DC Showcase short starring Green Arrow.

This is the second DC Universe feature adapted from the Superman/Batman comic book series. Apocalypse adapts the Supergirl comic book storyline written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by the late Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald.

The movie will be released in a single-disc DVD, a two-disc special edition DVD and a special edition Blu-ray.

The Green Arrow short, written by Greg Weisman, will appear on the special editions and features the voices of Neal McDonough and Malcolm McDowell. The special editions also will include extensive bonus features.
